QUALIFICATIONS

At Academies Australasia you can choose from a range of courses that are recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). AQF programs are nationally recognised, which means your qualification and skills can be used anywhere in Australia and also provide you with credit towards further study at University. Courses are categorised in distinct levels, from the basic Certificate II up to Advanced Diplomas.

[Note: The courses offered by Academies Australasia College (AAC)  in Singapore are registered by the Council for Private Education in Singapore. Those courses offered by AAC which have the same name as the AQF recognised courses, are identical t the AQF recognised courses.
 
Students who successfully complete any of the modules listed in the AAC course brochures will qualify for ‘recognition’ of prior learning (ie credits) should they wish to continue their course at any other Academies Australasia college. In the same way, they may be considered, on a case-by-case basis, for credits should they wish to enrol at any university with which the Academies Australasia colleges have articulation or credit transfer arrangements at the relevant time.]


Certificate II, III, and IV

These provide you with a range of skills from introductory level through to advanced. It's not always necessary to complete a lower level Certificate to gain entry to a higher one.The course levels reflect the vocational outcomes a participant can expect to attain, rather than the length of the course or the cost.

Higher Education

Higher education courses (or degrees) are offered at universities and private colleges. Entry into most higher education courses in Australia is highly competitive, and a high standard of English language is required. Each course will have different entrance requirements, so it’s important to check you meet these requirements.

 

Academies Australsia Polytechnic (AAPoly) provides direct entry into the Federation University Australia’s Higher Education programmes in Business, Commerce, Management and Information Technology delivered at their Melbourne CBD campus. AAPoly also offers its own Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management (BTHM).

The Federation University Australia (FedUni) is a modern university with its main campus located in Ballarat which is in regional Victoria. The Univeristy was first established in 1870, as the School of Mines, Ballarat, making it the third oldest tertiary institution in Australia with over 130 years of tradition and excellence.

AAPoly is a Federation University Australia Partner Provider Institution and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes under contract to the University. This partner provider contract between the FedUni and AAPoly involves EduUni controlling the quality of the courses and conferring the qualifications, whilst AAPoly provides the facilities, lecturers, tutors and student services. The curriculum of FedUni programmes delivered at FedUni Partner Provider Institutions is the same as the main campus at Mount Helen.

All academic staff teaching FedUni programmes at AAPoly are approved to teach by FedUni. Students are enrolled as FedUni students and upon successful completion, are awarded with the FedUni degrees.

Bachelor degrees provide initial preparation for professional careers and postgraduate study and involve a minimum of six semesters full-time study. Entry typically requires completion of an Australian secondary school certificate of education (Year 12) or the overseas equivalent, or a Diploma or Advanced Diploma.
